In June 2013 the Swedish Academy of Comic Art was invited to visit the Swedish Comics Archive in Lund. The purpose of the archive, hosted in the gigantic archive building of Arkivcentrum Syd just outside the city of Lund, is to document, preserve and spread the history of comics in Sweden. It was founded by Seriefrämjandet, a society of Swedish comics professionals and fans, in 2003 and is funded by government grants. Today the collection covers over 220 meters of shelf and contains original comic art, comic books, newspaper clippings about comics, letters and more.

The tour of the archive was guided by its director Thomas Storn, who as well is a member of the Academy.
